Fairness. Understanding. Tolerance.
There is no doubt that explicit and implicit bias are issues that have plagued our society for many, many years. Through social media, these issues are even more amplified and we have seen quite a bit of increase in unfortunate incidents recently which involves people's explicit bias towards other people or group of people. Some would say that the reason for the increase of these unfortunate incidents is due to the current political climate, while others would say that it is because of people's prejudices and false beliefs.
But whatever the reasons may be, bickering and pinpointing are not the solution to the issue, as they only lead to more tension and division in our society. FAIRNESS, UNDERSTANDING, and TOLERANCE are what our society needs to practice and foster.
